Reviews
The three of us spent a week at the beautiful farm with Susanne and her animals.
It was a lovely, peaceful and relaxing time. The farmstead is in a stunning location, set back a little from the road and surrounded by pastures, woodland and meadows. The house is small but really cosy, with brand-new furnishings, and very clean. We wanted for nothing. We had some of our meals on the adjoining terWe stayed in a cottage and had a lovely view of the cow pasture, where we were also able to spot hares and other animals. What made our stay so special was the cosy atmosphere and our host’s warm and welcoming nature. We felt truly welcome straight away, and even as a child, you could run about and just be a child. Dear Susanne, thank you once again for our stay with you. It was exactly as we’d dreamed our first visit to Sweden would be. We very much hope we’ll see you again.
We stayed there for two nights and felt very much at home in the cosy, modern cottage. The location is idyllic and surrounded by nature, perfect for unwinding.
The local area offers plenty of opportunities for exploring, whether by bike, by car or on foot.
We received some brilliant tips from Susanne, whose kindness really made our holiday complete.
We spent a wonderful and relaxing time here at Susanne's farm. The farm is beautifully surrounded by meadows, pastures and woods, away from the road and is an idyll in the Småland countryside.
The warm welcome from our hostess Susanne and her two friendly dogs made us feel welcome and at ease.
The Drängstugan holiday flat is also a real haven of comfort! It’s cosily furnished with great attention to detail and a harmonious colour scheme, complemented by everything you need for a pleasant stay!
The kitchen is well-equipped and there is a cosy dining area. The beautiful terrace, which you can access directly from the kitchen, is particularly outstanding. It’s the perfect place to relax. From here, you have a wonderful view of the pasture and can watch the cows and sheep going about their business, gaze up at the beautiful beech tree or let your eyes wander over the countryside and simply enjoy the view.
We slept very well in the cosy beds and were woken up gently by the rooster in the morning, just as we like it on the farm!
The holiday home is also very well equipped technically, with TV, wifi, etc., which was not important to us as we enjoyed being in nature, experiencing life on the farm and exploring the beautiful countryside on walks.
Dear Susanne, thank you very much for the nice stay and your hospitality! We will gladly come again!
We spent four wonderful nights with Susanne on her idyllic farm and it was a thoroughly relaxing time. Surrounded by nature and animals we were able to experience country life at its best.
Susanne provided us with fresh eggs, which we really enjoyed at breakfast. The atmosphere on the farm was totally relaxed and we had a great time.
One particular highlight was that we Bicycles were available on site. This meant we were able to actively explore the beautiful surroundings – including Småland’s Hawaii and many other places of interest nearby.
The farm itself is very well-kept; you reach it via a long driveway – it’s in a wonderfully peaceful spot, not right next to the road. The adjoining pastures with cows and sheep lend the whole place a particularly idyllic atmosphere. Susanne’s two dogs were extremely affectionate and always up for a few strokes – a real bonus, especially for animal lovers.
The cottage is modern and furnished with great attention to detail in typical Swedish style. The beds are very cosy and there is plenty of sleeping space upstairs. A TV with the possibility to use Netflix and Prime or transfer content via Bluetooth from your mobile phone (casting) is also available. The kitchen is well equipped and the small bathroom with shower was sufficient for our stay.
The terrace, which is accessed directly from the dining area, is an ideal place to retreat and enjoy the peace and quiet - whether it's with a good book, a coffee or just relaxing in the fresh air. Its sheltered position invites you to spend cosy hours outdoors.
Thank you very much, dear Susanne, for this wonderful time - we would love to come back!
Set amidst Sweden’s wonderful countryside and natural surroundings lie the charming village of Hörda and the beautiful Bökeliden farm. At the farm, I received a warm and heartfelt welcome from both the animals and the hostess, who is also the farm’s owner and is responsible for all the animals, the woodland and the land, as well as ensuring that guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay. Everything had been carefully thought out to ensure a comfortable, relaxing and memorable stay. This is the perfect place for anyone who enjoys animals, walks and day trips in the beautiful countryside of Småland.
