Nice and well-equipped cottage for 6 people. The cottage is located in Hölminge with a fantastic location and its own lake plot directly on Lake Bolmen outside Ljungby. You have your own berth and boat with motor included.

Beskrivning
Höjden is a nice cottage with a fantastic location and its own lake plot on Lake Bolmen. The cottage is for max. 6 people and you have a living space of 60 m² and an annex of 10 m². Your accommodation consists of 1 bedroom with double bed and 1 bedroom with bunk bed and 2 single beds in the annex. The living room has a double sofa bed and cosy seating in front of the fireplace with insert. There is a TV with German satellite dish and wifi via fibre. Open-plan kitchen with electric hob/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a shower, WC and washing machine. The nicest thing is probably the open terrace with panoramic views of the lake or the glazed conservatory where you have equally nice views and evening sun. The plot is large and a little hilly with rocks in some places and sandy beach in some. At the waterfront you have a large terrace with barbecue area and private boat mooring. Boat with motor (4 stroke 5 horses) is included in the rent. In the holiday home there are heaters in all rooms but feel free to light a fire on cooler evenings. Electricity is included. High chair and cot are available in the house.
You live in Hölminge 17 km from Ljungby. Nearby is Bolmstad Harbour and here you can sit by the harbour where there is a café in the summer. In Ljungby there is then much to discover. Why not have lunch at the cosy Gästgivargården or a visit to Sagomuséet. There are many flea markets and second-hand shops here and also in Lagan you can visit Slussen and if you are keen on golf, there is a nice golf course. Drive via Tannåker Lanthandel to Bolmsö and take the ferry at Hägern over to Sunnaryd, free of charge. Drive south to Tiraholm fish restaurant, now you are in Halland. Here you can also have lunch at Alebo by Lake Unnen. There are nice hiking trails and nature reserves in Ljungby municipality such as Lidhult, Lidhultsåsen and Årshultsmyren. Take the opportunity and at the same time eat good moose burgers at Byholmas Gamla Station. Bolmen is Sweden's tenth largest lake, 185 km2. It is located between Halland and Småland and has more than 300 islands, the largest being Bolmsö. Here you have great swimming and fishing opportunities. You mainly catch pikeperch, pike and perch. Every year in July, Bolmendagen is organised, which is usually popular with many different activities.
The house is rented for a minimum of 2 weeks but it is always possible to make a request for 1 week.
Smoking and pets are not allowed.

We spent 14 days at Haus Hölminge and our overall impression was very positive. There were four of us: two adults and two children. We didn’t find anything missing in the house. Based on the description, we’d prepared ourselves for a small kitchen without a dishwasher, and it wasn’t a problem at all. We simply stored our kitchenware and food in boxes. So it was fine for us. We were incredibly lucky with the weather. We were We even went for a swim in the lake. The property is in an absolutely stunning location. For that alone, we’re happy to do without other luxuries. We had barbecues on the jetty in the evenings and were truly treated to incredible sunsets every single day. My husband and the children particularly enjoyed going out on the boat. There were plenty of life jackets available. There was also plenty of seating outdoors. A six-minute walk away was a football pitch with two goals, which our son was absolutely delighted with. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Toaster, kettle, coffee machine, large fridge, three freezer compartments. We would wholeheartedly recommend this house and would definitely come back again and again. The peace and quiet, the waves, the family of ducks that always came to visit us, the sunsets, the boat… a truly perfect holiday.
A well-furnished, cosy holiday home in a stunning location. We were able to spend two weeks there in May 2026 and felt very much at home. The landlord is helpful, but was unable to assist us with watching German television (the reason was apparently a recent storm that had knocked the satellite dish out of alignment).
We were with 4 adults and two children in this beautiful house and spent a nice holiday here.
The location is marvellous. Lilla Huset was also available by mobile phone for questions, Susanne Pilarp speaks very good German and is always very helpful, she also knows the house and the surroundings. Which is usually not the case with other agents.
Once, when we were having problems with the engine of the BooTo top it all off, the very friendly and helpful landlord came round very quickly to sort out the problem.
Unfortunately, we have to deduct one star, as the kitchen is very small and there is hardly any storage space for food for six people.
Otherwise we can highly recommend Lilla Huset and the house.
Very nice location. Simple house that leaves nothing to be desired. The boat was ideal for us. Engine started easily. Unfortunately a lot of wind, but still caught 2 pikes. Great online support by the rental.
Can be recommended without hesitation.
