This holiday home wasn’t our first in Småland, and we were very satisfied this time too, just as we had been with the other properties arranged by Susanne. What impressed us most this time was the absolute tranquillity we were able to enjoy. Our catch was also very good: lots of lovely perch and some fine zander. We caught pike as well, though most of them were on the smaller side. The boat and motor were top-notch. Mattias, the owner, is very Neat and pleasantly pragmatic – typically Swedish, really 🙂 If you’re wondering why only 4 stars and not 5: unfortunately, there’s no direct view of the lake from the terrace, and the morning sun didn’t reach the terrace until around 11:00 (second half of August) – so this is really just complaining on a very high level

We were able to spend two weeks in early August in the beautiful house on Lake Rymmen. We felt very much at home in the lovingly furnished house. We really enjoyed the peaceful location close to the lake. The landlord is very friendly and accommodating.

Despite the rather changeable weather, we had two brilliant weeks in this holiday home. The house is very well equipped, and the landlord is lovely. For our sons, exploring the lake and the islands by boat was a real highlight. Even in poorer weather, the location offers plenty of places to visit within an hour’s drive, whilst at the same time you can enjoy complete peace and quiet in the house and by the lake.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage in Sjöhult. There were five of us adults and one child – so it was a full house. Matthias was helpful and welcoming, and everything went smoothly.

There is always room for improvement:

It seems a bit excessive that you have to pay a deposit when you speak to the landlord before you leave…

At first glance, it looked clean, but a bit greasy in the corners…

We’d ordered bed linen and towels for five. A wholeSome of it had never been washed and one towel was missing…

The mattresses in the annexe weren’t suitable for adults; this was pointed out to Matthias.

You might want to consider fitting fly screens to the doors and some of the windows – there were so many, many flies…

The house is well-stocked, but a tray would work wonders...

I have chosen to write in Danish,

We had a lovely holiday: a beautiful and well-equipped holiday home, a friendly landlord who looked after us well, and we even spotted moose and cranes
