Esters is a simple cottage situated approximately 150 m from Lake Bergsjön, just outside Tolg in Småland. The cottage is suitable for up to 4 people and has a living area of 60 m². It has 2 bedrooms with single beds, one of which is a walk-through room. You also have the option of sleeping on the sofa bed on the lower floor if you prefer. On the ground floor is the living room with a TV (German channels) and seating in front of the open fire. The cottage has an open-plan layout leading into the kitchen, which has electric stove/oven, microwave, fridge/freezer. The bathroom has a shower and WC. The cabin is insulated all year round and heated via direct electricity. You’ll be living in a secluded spot surrounded by nature, on a plot of 600 m². The nearest neighbour is about 150 m away. Cows graze around the house, and when you walk down to the lake, you may have to walk through the cow pasture. There is a patio by the house with garden furniture and a barbecue. Further away, there is also a barbecue area. Moored at Bergsjön is the boat included in the rental price, and you can hire an electric motor from the owner. The fishing here is excellent; you can catch zander, perch and pike in Bergsjön, and there are several other lakes nearby.
Tolg has a cosy country store and a nice restaurant. The pub at Logen has both food and café and some days music evenings. Växjö is 30 km away and has a large selection of restaurants and shopping. There is a lot to discover here and you have both the train station and Småland Airport if you come by train or plane. Tolg is located just where the Småland highlands begin and there are many beautiful lakes such as Tolgsjön and Asasjön. Beautiful Ramkvilla on Lake Örken is just half an hour away. Sigfridsleden, a hiking trail in Kronoberg County in Småland, runs through here. It stretches from Asa in the north to the southern end of Lake Rottnen in the south. Experience Tolg and the surrounding area this summer!
A deposit of SEK 1500 is payable on arrival.
Electric motor for hire SEK 400 per day.
The cottage is non-smoking and pets are not welcome.
Holiday stays only and no youth groups.
Electricity is excluded (4 SEK/KWh).
Firewood is available from the owner at 250 SEK per basket.

We spent 14 days there. The house is small but cosy. It has all the essentials you need for your stay.
The lake is about 150 metres away and within easy reach; a rowing boat is provided.
A really lovely spot – you can really unwind and switch off here.
There are some lovely walking trails that we’ve used here, and other lakes are within easy reach.
All in all, a brilliant two weeks.

We (a family of four) spent a week here and were able to really unwind in the peaceful, natural surroundings. All the necessary equipment was provided, although some of it was a bit old. The lake is 150 metres away and is great to explore by boat. From the house, you can set off on some brilliant day trips by car to explore the surrounding area, whether for walking, swimming, visiting a slate quarry or even heading to the seaside. – depending on availability. Dealing with Per, the owner, was straightforward and very friendly.
We spent three very pleasant weeks in Tolg/Bergsjön at Esther’s house. A very beautiful spot, very romantic and still a bit of authentic Sweden. The house has everything you need to relax. The landlord, Pelle, is a very friendly and helpful person. The service from Susanne at Lilla Huset is excellent. If you have any questions or need clarification, she’ll help you straight away. If you’re planning a holiday in Småland, we can warmly recommend Susanne/Lilla Huset.
We had three wonderful weeks at the cosy Haus Esters. The location is beautiful, and the landlord, Pelle, is a lovely person. Susanne’s support left nothing to be desired. I can highly recommend the house, Bergsjön and the booking service provided by Lilla Huset.
The house is in a very nice and quiet location. The lake is easily visible from the house. The equipment of the house is simple, but there is everything you need. Some utensils are a bit old. In the neighbourhood there are many beautiful lakes with very nice swimming places.
