Your accommodation is located right on the shore of Lake Åsnen, which has a unique inland archipelago with more than a thousand islands. The lake is suitable for canoeing and fishing and is one of the largest fishing lakes in southern Sweden. Some species of fish, such as zander, are protected during May. At Åsnen there is something for everyone in the family to discover.

Beskrivning
A cottage in a stunning lakeside location on Lake Åsnen. The cottage sleeps up to 6 people and has a living area of approx. 100 m². The plot is approx. 4,000 m². There is a living room with Swedish TV (channels 1, 2 and 4) and a small kitchen with an electric hob/oven and a microwave. There is also a room that the owner calls the ”lake room”, where you can sit and eat or simply relax whilst enjoying a fantastic view of Lake Åsnen. There is a large fridge here. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and washing machine; the freezer is also located here. On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms, each with two single beds. On the grounds, there is a simple guest cottage with two beds. The holiday home is heated by a heat pump and additional radiators. Outside the house, there is a gazebo with garden furniture where you can sit and enjoy the evening sun. There are several sun loungers on the grounds. You’re welcome to borrow the Canadian canoe. There’s a campsite right next door.
It is only 1.6 km to Urshult where there is a small shop and petrol station. You can have lunch at the restaurant Ladan in Urshult. Tingsryd is 12.6 km from your accommodation. Here you can visit Börjes and have lunch at Mårdalycke krog at Tingsryd Resort. There is mini golf and a tennis court. You are not far from the sea, both Karlshamn and Karlskrona are within reach and why not take a trip to Kalmar and Öland. Of course, you must visit Åsnen National Park which has nice hiking trails.
Aluminium boat with engine 4 stroke, 5 hs to rent 1500 SEK/week.
Compulsory cleaning 1000 SEK (payable on arrival in SEK).

The house itself is in good condition. There is a lot that needs to be renovated and will break down in the near future, both inside and outside (e.g. garden furniture).
The house was clean.
The location was very nice, right on the water. Unfortunately we had some bad luck with the wind. It was very strong during our stay and always strongest at the house. So directly a windy corner.
From the plot, we were...I’m really disappointed! It was literally a rubbish tip. Everything that was no longer needed – whether at the moment or in general – was just lying around somewhere. That’s not what you’d call well-kept. We didn’t see anything like that in Sweden either, with all those beautiful properties. On the contrary, we were often very impressed there.

Definitely worth a trip. We will be back as a family!!! A small cosy house that has everything you need. The location is a dream.
It is a house with simple equipment, but beautiful, especially the unique location directly on the lake. The kitchen is not big, but everything you need is there. To our surprise, we hardly noticed the campsite around it. You can really find peace and quiet here.
Canoes, boats and stand-up paddleboards are available for use; there is also a dedicated play area for children on the premises, , That was brilliant. The terrace furnishings and the rest of the garden furniture are also a real bonus. The garden shed, which served as an extra place to stay for older children and teenagers, was a great hit.
Shops are just a 5-minute drive away, and the campsite reception also sells bread rolls and snacks. A good starting point for excursions, for example to Åsnen National Park.
